Carrier Signal: Second Single from Terminal Velocity

Carrier Signal is the second single from Terminal Velocity, released this January, and the longest thing we have put out under our own name. It runs eight minutes and eleven seconds and was recorded in one take with no edit afterwards.

The track sits on a single sustained tone that never resolves. Everything else moves around it: a rhythm that drifts a beat out and back over the course of the piece, a vocal that arrives four minutes in and leaves without a chorus.

It is not an obvious single and we know that. It is the track people ask about after shows, which is a better reason to release something than length.
